He was born in Samsun in 1968. He graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education in 1994. In 1997, he completed his Master’s degree program in OMU Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Fine Arts Education, Department of Painting and Drawing Education, Division of Graphics, and in 2002, he completed his Proficiency in Art program in Hacettepe University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Graphic Design. In 2007, he joined Ondokuz Mayıs University as a Dr. Lecturer. He was appointed as a Dr. Lecturer in 2007, Associate Professor in 2011 and Professor in 2018.

He was among the finalists in many national and international poster design competitions, opened solo poster design exhibitions, participated in group or invited exhibitions. He served as a jury member in many national and international poster design competitions. He is currently working as the Head of Department and Faculty Member at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design.
