Adnan Tepecik completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education. He earned his master’s degree, doctorate, and proficiency in arts from the Social Sciences Institute of Gazi University.

In 1992, he received specialized training in learning resources in England with a scholarship from the World Bank. Working as an educator, writer, and researcher in the fields of art and design, Tepecik has won four awards in logo and painting competitions organized by public institutions. He has held ten solo exhibitions and participated in numerous national and international events. Additionally, he has organized seven national and international art and design education symposiums. Tepecik has conducted research on developing new tools and holds ten patents approved by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in various fields. To date, he has published eight books, including one translation, and 85 research articles. His work primarily focuses on art and design education. Between 2005 and 2008, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dumlupınar University. From 2008 to 2023, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture at Başkent University.
Adnan Tepecik is married and has two children.
